Gulvin, a sophomore on the Chargers’ softball team, threw a no-hitter while striking out 19 batters in a game on Saturday that clinched the Simi Valley Tournament title for Dos Pueblos. Gulvin totaled 41 strikeouts during the week of play.

Seif, a freshman setter for the Gauchos’ men’s volleyball team, led UCSB to a pair of MPSF victories over the weekend, including a sweep of No. 4 Stanford on Friday night. Seif recorded 65 assists in the two matches and contributed 11 digs in Saturday’s sweep of Pacific. Seif and the Gauchos have won four of their last five matches as they try to qualify for the upcoming MPSF Tournament.
