Dos Pueblos’ Veronika Gulvin and UCSB’s Jonah Seif were recognized as Athletes of the Week at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon.
Gulvin, a sophomore on the Chargers’ softball team, threw a no-hitter while striking out 19 batters in a game on Saturday that clinched the Simi Valley Tournament title for Dos Pueblos. Gulvin totaled 41 strikeouts during the week of play.

Seif recorded 65 assists in the two matches and contributed 11 digs in Saturday’s sweep of Pacific. Seif and the Gauchos have won four of their last five matches as they try to qualify for the upcoming MPSF Tournament.
