Madsen scores big points on the court and in the classroom for the Owls.
The senior on Monday was named the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Scholar-Athlete of the Year award winner from Laguna Blanca.

Madsen carries a 4.43 grade-point average, carrying a load of advanced placement courses. She won an AP Scholar Award and was named Laguna Blanca’s Triple Crown winner, awarded to the student who plays three sports and maintains a 3.75 or higher GPA. She also plays soccer and lacrosse.

Volleyball is her main sport. Last season, she led the Owls to their 11th straight Condor League championship, the semifinals of the CIF Division 4-A playoffs and the CIF State Tournament. She received first-team All-CIF-SS Division 4-A honors.

Clara, the daughter of Jeppe and Peter Madsen, is also involved in theater arts at Laguna Blanca and has an extensive volunteer and community service record.
