Westmont basketball player Kayla Sato and San Marcos High swimmer Matt Mills were honored as the Athletes of the Week at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon. Sato played three outstanding games for the Warriors at the NAIA Women’s National Tournament in Billings, Mont. Retired UCSB volleyball coach Ken Preston to become Legend of the Dome

  UCSB men’s volleyball will pay tribute to retired coach Ken Preston during the Gauchos’ regular-season finale against BYU on Saturday, April 7 at the Thunderdome. Vince Vogel Produces for San Marcos baseball; Drea Toler Leads UCSB to Big West Final

San Marcos baseball player Vince Vogel and Drea Toler of the UCSB women’s basketball team were honored as the Athletes of the Week at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe. Toler’s outstanding play led the Gauchos to the Big West Tournament championship game. The recent warm weather has been welcomed by SBCC baseball coach Jeff Walker. UC Santa Barbara softball infielder Sierra Altmeyer and Westmont baseball infielder Michael Stefanic were recognized as Athletes of the Week at Monday's Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon. Kara Murray excels above, beyond as student-athlete at Bishop Diego

It wouldn't surprise anyone at Bishop Diego if Kara Murray did a couple of back flips as she ran out to her position on the softball diamond. Murray comes from a gymnastics background and has used her skills as a member of Bishop Diego's cheer squad. She also plays softball and basketball for the Cardinals and carries a 4.0 grade-point average. Wesley Ghan-Gibson swings hot bat for SBCC; Allie Jones sets San Marcos record

SBCC baseball player Wesley Ghan-Gibson and San Marcos track athlete Allie Jones were honored Monday as the Athletes of the Week at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon at Harry's Plaza Cafe. San Marcos water polo accomplished every team goal but one

"Our team impressed me so much this season," exclaimed San Marcos girls water polo head coach Chuckie Roth on Monday at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Press Luncheon at Harry's Plaza Cafe.
