MONICA BELTRAN, LAGUNA BLANCA SCHOOL Monica Beltran will leave Laguna Blanca to attend Princeton next year, and it’s no surprise that such a prestigious university accepted her. TYNAN DANIELS, DOS PUEBLOS GOLF Daniels led the Chargers to their lowest round of the season on Thursday by turning in an amazing round of 7-under par at Glen Annie. The day's medalist hadn't been under par yet this season but did so easily with a bogey-free round that included seven birdies. NICK BERN, CATE SCHOOL Nick Bern of Cate School earned Athlete of the Week honors two years ago after he held the powerhouse Dunn boys soccer team to a season-low one goal. Soccer coach Dave Mochel called Bern the best high school goalie he's ever seen. Bern also is a standout track athlete.
