LaMarcus Briggs, a standout softball and basketball player, was named the Santa Barbara Athlete Round Table Special Olympics Athlete of the Month. Matt Meisel was honored for his performance with the soccer team at the North Region Games in Santa Maria. Coach Jerry Siegel noted that Matt is in his first year playing soccer in Santa Barbara, but he has a family soccer history in town. Kremer named Special Olympics Athlete of the Month

David Kremer was honored Monday as the Special Olympics Athlete of the Month. The award was given at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon at Harry's Plaza Cafe. Kremer has been participating in Special Olympics sports for 15 years. He plays softball, basketball and soccer. He recently helped his softball team win some games at a tournament on Sunday.
