Lions have a new den at Harry’s Plaza Cafe

The Providence Hall Lions have entered CIF competition, and as a result they’ve also entered the Ranchero Room at Harry’s for the weekly Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheons. Athletic Director Keith Luberto and two of his coaches spoke Monday in front of a crowd so big that an extra table needed to be brought in beforehand. Round Table gives back at first luncheon

There’s no better way to start the year of Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table luncheons than to have the organization do what it does best — give back to local athletics. Future SBART President Rich Hanna kicked off the year’s first pow-wow at Harry’s by presenting $3,200 in checks to the Athletic Directors of Santa Barbara High, San Marcos, Dos Pueblos, Bishop Diego, Carpinteria and Laguna Blanca. Santa Barbara High alumnus and 3-time Olympic gold-medalist Karch Kiraly was the keynote speaker at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table’s “Fall Classic,” held at the University Club.
