Kara Murray excels above, beyond as student-athlete at Bishop Diego

It wouldn't surprise anyone at Bishop Diego if Kara Murray did a couple of back flips as she ran out to her position on the softball diamond. Murray comes from a gymnastics background and has used her skills as a member of Bishop Diego's cheer squad. She also plays softball and basketball for the Cardinals and carries a 4.0 grade-point average. Grace MacNeil kicks it on the soccer field, on the tennis court, in the classroom and on campus at Laguna Blanca School. This winter, she co-captained an Owls team that won a fourth straight Condor League title in soccer. In the fall, she was the No. 1 singles player on the tennis team.
