John Moreno, Hall of Fame Athlete
John Moreno starred on the Carpinteria High School baseball team from 1972-1974. A three year all-CIF and all-Tri Valley League player, Moreno was the winning pitcher on Carpinteria’s fIrst CIF Championship team in 1974.

As Tri-Valley League MVP and Division “A” Player of the Year, John pitched on three consecutive Warrior Tri-Valley League Championship teams. From Carpinteria High, John pitched for Santa Barbara City College and the Matadors of Cal State Northridge. Carpinteria High School has since inducted John into the Warrior Hall of Fame.

John currently lives in Utah with his wife and four children where he owns a successful tile business. He is a very caring dad and loving husband who still loves to play ball. He pitches for a local softball team and will always enjoy the game.
