In 1957 became varsity cage coach at UCSB, retiring in 1966. Record was 122­ 108. Best year in 1960-61 when his team was 20-8 winning CCAA title and went to NCAA College Division playoffs. Curr­ently chairman of Physical Activities Department at UCSB.
