Marcia Constance

Marcia Constance, Hall of Fame Special Achievement
Marcia Constance has been an involved resident of the Santa Barbara community for many years. As a business woman and an active tennis player, she has generously donated her time and resources to the development of Las Positas Friendship Park.

This special, regional park is one of the few nonprofit public parks in the nation. Much of the park is reclaimed land from the Santa Barbara Landfill. The park has over 60,000 visitors annually and has been labeled by the National Park Service as a Model of Success. Marcia’s guidance has lead the way for this success.

Because of Marcia’s efforts and those of her family and friends, Las Positas Park has emerged as a premiere sports and recreational center in Santa Barbara. The park offers signature views of the ocean, mountains and the city along with delightful picnic groves and scenic overlooks. Marcia was instrumental in the development of the park’s five sports fields, giving the region three of its best softball fields and two of its finest soccer fields. More playing fields are in the planning stages.

We would like to applaud Marcia’s outstanding community service, her dedication to the families and the youth of our region. By helping to develop these fabulous public recreational facilities, and by her active and continuous participation as chairman of the Las Positas Park Foundation, she exemplifies the spirit of generosity and vision that is unique to Santa Barbara.
