The act of selflessness Fiona Kuesis showed a San Marcos teammate at the CIF Swimming Championships last spring is a perfect example of what the Phil Womble Ethics in Sports Award represents. Kuesis was presented the award for high character and sportsmanship at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon. Kayla Sato leads Westmont to NAIA Quarters; Matt Mills sets San Marcos swim record

Westmont basketball player Kayla Sato and San Marcos High swimmer Matt Mills were honored as the Athletes of the Week at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon. Sato played three outstanding games for the Warriors at the NAIA Women’s National Tournament in Billings, Mont. SBHS Teacher Giving It Old College Try for SBCC Swim Team

Tina Hill is one busy body. When she’s not training and competing for the SBCC women’s swim team, she’s teaching math at Santa Barbara High and working as an assistant coach for the high school swim teams.
